Locus of Control and Attribution Style Inventory - Revised
Description

A 33-item inventory assessing the Locus of Control and Attribution Style. Low scores indicate external locus of control, high scores indicate internal locus of control. The test yields four subscores:

  1. Success attribution style: Internal vs. External (low score means external attribution of success, high score means internal attribution of success);
  2. Success attribution style: Stable vs. Unstable forces (low scores indicate attribution of success to unstable factors, high scores indicate attribution of success to stable factors);
  3. Failure attribution style: Internal vs. External (low score means external attribution of failure, high score means internal attribution of failure);
  4. Failure attribution style: Stable vs. Unstable forces (low scores indicate attribution of success to unstable factors, high scores indicate attribution of success to stable factors).
The test is suitable for adult and adolescent population. The text readability is qualified as follows: Flesh Reading Ease = 76.2; Flesh-Kincaid Grade level = 5.5.
