General Tips for an improved memory

  1. Repeat the item of information over and over.
  2. Summarize what you've learned.
  3. Ask questions about what you're learning.
  4. Say it out loud.
  5. Write it down.
  6. Focus/pay attention to remembering.
What do we really remember?
  1. Differences and contrasts
  2. Colourful images
  3. Sexual images and examples
  4. Emotionally-charged pieces of information
  5. Necessities for survival
  6. First and last items in a session
  7. Sensory associations (movement, smell, taste)
